Pressure

I want to cry
I need to cry

The gathering tears wouldn't fall
They couldn't fall

I can't breathe because of the pressure
I fall to my knees as I clutched my chest

As I struggled to catch my breathe
The tears fell onto the carpet

I slowly calmed myself so I could breathe
My eyes squeezed shut as I counted down from ten

I finally got my breathing under control so I could stand
I opened my eyes to feel the tears gliding down my face

The pressure finally disappeared from my body
A soft sob escaped me as I cupped my face

This is what I needed
A cry from my soul, a cry to help soothe me
