Literature Text

You said you had a question for me,
I sit ready for some Einstein like question.

But instead I get a question I know dearly,
"Would you miss me?"

One blink, two blinks, my eyes widen.
You're serious, dead serious.

I say, "Of course I would."
You look unconvinced.

I realize what was going on.
My eyes look down; I tried to hide from your gaze.

I then tell you, almost too silent to hear,
"That if you were gone, I would never forget our memories."

This makes you smile, a loving smile, as tears ghost down your cheeks.
You say, "Thank you." As you fade away from me.

I gave a shuttering sigh as I pull me legs to me.
Your last sentence ever said to me.

Would you miss me?

"a smile as tears ghost down your cheeks."
I can't quite tell if the word 'ghost' was intentional or if you mean 'go'.. But I think it was, because that'd be quite the typo.
Either way, that's my absolute favorite line of it all. Out of a poem full of emotion, it really impacted me the most, put a picture in my head..
Favorite well earned.
